Click here for a Monday morning update.
This is a reminder for parents and guardians that your child will be coming home with a waiver form regarding the solar eclipse on Monday, August 21. We have purchased glasses approved by NASA and the American Astronomical Society, and we will be going outside to witness the eclipse for a few minutes on Monday afternoon. The waiver form should be signed and returned to school if you DO NOT want your child to participate.
Teachers have been instructing students on proper use of the glasses, as well as the importance of never looking at the Sun without the glasses.
Again, if you DO NOT want your child to participate, please return the form or send a note to school.
On behalf of students and staff, a big THANK YOU to the employees of @mysmithville for their generous donation of school supplies today! Springs Valley Elementary School is fortunate to have such caring community partners. Thanks again, Smithville!
Please see the attached Google Doc for a Monday update from the elementary school. Hopefully the link will work!
